All is set for the third Entebbe Charity Run slated to start and finish at Entebbe Children’s park in the heart of the Lake Victoria peninsular town.
This Charity run takes center stage on Saturday, 13th June 2015 within the peripheries of the Municipality.
Samuel Batambira, the chief coordinator of the event confirms that at least 200 runners have already confirmed to be part of the event.
All is set for the race with the route demarcated and security as alert as possible
Batambira notes.
The event is being organized by the Child Welfare Ministry, a non -governmental organization, based in Kiwafu zone, Entebbe Division B, Entebbe Municipality.
The purpose of the Event is three fold, to raise money for a community vocational training center, to promote tourism and to identify Athletics who can do well both locally and internationally
The run that will begin and end at the Entebbe children’s park has three categories, 21km ,10km and 5km for the walkers.
There are varying prizes for the different category winners ranging from 100,000/=, 70,000/= to 50,000/= in the 21km, 10k, and 5km races respectively
.The run will be inclined along the theme:
“Run For The Underprivileged, Run For A Community Vocational Training Center”.
This is the third time that the Entebbe Charity Run is taking place.
