Multiple Safari winner Carl ‘Flash’ Tundo and his partner Tim Jessop were the star attractions as the second round of the JCB Ganatra National Rally Raid 2 concluded at Solai’s Rift Valley Motor and Sports Club on Sunday.

In their very first outing in the new Milner R4 machine, Tundo and Jessop swept the ground with all their opponents winning the car class in the fastest overall time for all categories. Tundo’s new monster is now the latest crowd puller on the Raid front, running on a BMW M3.3-litre engine.

Second overall in the car class and trailing Tundo by a massive 10.30minutes was defending champion Gray Cullen in a Land Rover. Multiple KNRC champion Ian Duncan romped home third in a cumulative total of 3:49.39 hours in modified Prado. Duncan, navigated by Kavit Dave, lost second position to Cullen by a mere 24 seconds.
