The third round of the Tanzania National rally championships is attracting a lot of hype in Dar es salam.

The Tanzanian city will host the fourth round of the African Rally Championship this weekend.

Over twenty (20) of Tanzania’s local drivers have confirmed participation in the rally that starts on Friday 12th.

Dharam Pandya currently leading the Tanzania NRC hopes to extend his lead in Tanzania.

“Preparations are spot on, we earlier had issues with our dog box, but thankfully its sorted, a part from that no hiccups just ready for the event,” said Sanju Pandya, who will be calling the pacenotes for Dharam.

He further shared his expectations.

“We are approaching this rally with a lot of expectations being the current championship leaders.

“We shall strive to keep the momentum and maintain the lead,” he added.

Kenya’s Jaspreet Chatthe is the event’s favourite considering his current performance and the fact that he is the Oryx energies rally defending champion.

However, Pandya promises to put up a challenge.

“Chatthe is obviously fast and lately on a good form, but we don’t intend to give him the Oryx rally title on a silver plate, as our strategy will be to drive flat out and rallying at home gives us an extra edge,” he asserted.

However, Tanzania’s legend Gerard Miller has different plans of the Oryx energies rally.

“We have no much anticipations, we shall just go have fun and hopefully we will finish.

“We are not driving for the NRC since am not intending to do all events this year,” says Miller.

Uganda will have Duncan Mubiru who dropped out 2014 as well as Essa Rauf who makes his second attempt in Tanzania.

Yasin Nasser will be debuting in the Tanzanian rally.
