The second round of the National Rally Raid Championships will be held on April 23 -24 in Lake Baringo.

The route, according to organisers, Rift Valley Motor & Sports Club, has been finalised with some changes to the usual format anticipated. The first day will see competitors tackle a slightly longer than usual route of about 90km split into 3 legs.

One Service/refuel point will be situated after 30km with a 10 or 20 minute break being permitted depending on the weather conditions. The start location is 28km from the headquarters, which obviously demands an early, according to coordinator Mike Borrisow.

The drivers briefing will be at 12:30pm and the convoy will leave at 1pm before the start at 1:30pm.

Service teams can catch a glimpse of the start as there is a designated short spectator point immediately after the start. Crews will need to travel on a good road; another 11km to reach the service point. The Sunday leg has been shortened to 110km, meaning there will be a TC at 56 km and a 10-minute fuel break.
