Swimming will be introduced at the East Africa Secondary Schools Championships during this year’s edition.
The East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Federation (EASSF) secretary general, David Ngugi said swimming will be on programme during this year’s bonanza in August in Dar-es-Saalam, Tanzania.
After introducing racquet games in the championships last year, Ngugi said swimming is next on the line. Ngugi said the region has excellent swimmers in high schools and it is a high time they were granted a chance to showcase their talent at regional level. Kenya will start as the favourites to win the swimming title based on their dominance in local and international championships. Read more….
