Kenya’s Isaac Kipsang clocked 21 minutes 33 seconds to win the 8 KM Junior Men category, coming ahead of countrymate, Ronald Kiprotich (21:44) and Eritrea’s Aron Kipley (21:48).

In the same race, Uganda’s Mande Bushendich was a distant 11th after running 22:41.

Miriam Cherop (18:31) won the Juniors Women to a complete a 1-2-3 all Kenyan finish. Gloria Kite and Wilfred Mbithe were the other two Kenyan women top performers.

Phillip Kipyeko registered the best performance for Uganda, finishing second to overall winner, James Rungaru who clocked 26:34 in the Seniors Men (12 KM) catergory.
