The fourth edition of the ‘Save the Planet’ marathon is set to be held on Sunday 20th July-2014 in Entebbe, Uganda.
The lengthy event that is expected to see several athletes from all over the country take part shall take off at 6:30AM at Aero beach.
The annual race whose registration fee is ugx 15,000 is an environmental awareness camping marathon that involves all stake holders in Entebeb and around the world.
“The event’s theme is ‘our Planet Our Health’ and it is designed to raise awareness for environmental protection and conservation and position Entebbe as a Green City”. Proscovier Vikman, one of the race’s organizers told Kawowo Sports.
Registration of athletes is going at 11th floor at Fortune Energy (Diamond Trust Bank building) in Kampala and at Aero beach in Entebbe.
Kobil Uganda, Metro FM, Voice of Toro, Philips, Fresh Dairy, Daima, Fresh Dairy, Taiba School International and Mega Standard Supermarket are some of the companies sponsoring the race.
