RVO Monduli Mountain, Tanzania, 5/6 December 2015

Nobody identified the mystery photo above, the most popular guess was Suswa Crater, followed by Longonot and a few guessed Menengai Crater. This photo was taken 20 km south of Arusha, at Shimo la Mungu caldera S3° 31.122′ E36° 36.164′

Because nobody identified the mystery location, there remain two free entries up for grabs; the first 2 Kenyan registrations received will be free. Registration opening details, date and time will be announced soon, be quick to register and snap up the two free entries.

RVO Monduli Mountain will be hosted by Arusha Cycling Club. Stage 1 will ride high into the forests of Monduli Mountain, Stage 2 will cross the rugged crater strewn savannah, with a loop around Shimo la Mungu caldera. Race Camp will be just outside Arusha Town, approximately 4 hours drive time from Nairobi.

The standard RVO 2-day race format will apply:
2 person team event.
Stage 1 70 km 1500m ascent
Stage 2 60 km 900m ascent
100% GPS self navigation (no course markings)
100% pure adventure
Teams start at 2 minute intervals
Suitable for all skill levels, MTB beginner to expert.
Clear your diaries, schedule to arrive in Arusha on Friday (4 Dec) for a superb weekend in Tanzania. The highway to Arusha is excellent via Namanga border crossing. This will be a fun weekend riding somewhere totally new, I assure you that the scenery is breathtaking.

My thanks go to Arusha Cycling Club for inviting the RVO into Tanzania.
