Welcome to the 2014 Rally Up for Road Courtesy event organised by Rally Up under Rallye Sports Club!
Rally Up was initiated by active rally drivers in the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) who are congregants of the International Christian Centre (ICC). The team has successfully run Rally Up for Road Safety events for three years in succession, all of which took place at ICC Imara campus grounds. However, this year the event will be held at East Africa Portland, Athi River area.
Rally Up’s goal is to partner with motorsports personalities to influence positive attitudes on our roads. Our mission is to advocate for road courtesy in promoting and supporting road safety; and through motorsports enthusiasts to influence positive behavioural change.
The event will have 2 competitive categories namely: Rallying (approx. 100km of competitive stages) and Auto-Cross (a closed circuit for bikers, buggy, quads or rally cars driven without navigators).
Collaborations: Rally Up will be partnering with National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) alongside corporates and other road safety stakeholders.
We therefore invite rallying & auto-x drivers to join us for this noble course and are counting on your support in this Road Safety campaign.
We also hope that drivers will use this event as a good shakedown for the September 2014 Safari Rally.
Our theme is COURTESY IV whose interpretation is a choice to be courteous to at least four road users every day.
