The 11th FINA world swimming championships (25m) ended in Istanbul Turkey on 16th dec 12 with Kenya failing to win a single medal in the four days extravaganza. The team captained by commonwealth champion, Jason dunford had six other swimmers who managed to break several  national records leaving  the  swimming federation positive given most of the swimmers are still young and with a bright future.

The youngest of team 14 year old Anita Fields was not behind  left behind in national records with the highlights being swimming a time of 2:16.03 in 200M freestyle and 31.04 in 50M backstroke. In total the youthful Kenyan team managed to shatter 25 national records.
