Jazz Nadhra, Gurmeet Mehta and BedevChager won the second round of the Kenya National Autocross Championship at Jamhuri Park racetrack yesterday.Nadhdra clocked 5.30.90 minutes to win the 2WD Turbo class beating Bobby Sehmi to second on 5.31.70 while AmitPandya completed the podium dash on 5.31.72 in what was a cliff-hanger between the second and third podium finisher.As usual, BaldevChager claimed the open class victory in speed and bravado.Chager clocked 5.16.88 beating OnkarRai who managed 5.30.45 minutes.
Autocross commission Chairman James Burke was happy with today’s proceedings. Elsewhere, World champion Jorge Lorenzo was fastest in Saturday’s rain-hit testing at Jerez in Spain, the final weekend session before the season-opening MotorGP in Qatar on April 7.Yamaha rider Lorenzo was more than a second quicker than Honda duo, DaniPedrosa and Marc Marquez.
