The National Motocross Championship reaches the mid season with the fifth round at the Garuga racing track on Sunday.

Thrilling action is anticipated as riders will not only fight for the championship points but also fight to make it to the team that will represent Uganda in the 2016 FIM Africa Motorcross championship in Nairobi Kenya on August 24-26th.

Five riders will be selected from each class .

MX2 will provide the most exciting battle with the return of Alestair Blick who will spice up the existing battle between Ali Omar Yasser and Fatuh Kiggundu.

Kiggundu will be up to further stamp his MX2 dominance on his Yamaha 250 as Blick, on a similar bike and Yasser on KTM 125 target to prove him wrong.

Whereas Maxime Van Pee is expected to do more of the same as he proved to have no competition in the last four events.

More action will prevail in the MX85 class with Fortune Sentamu targeting to edge his rivals and maintain the championship lead. He currently leads by 11points ahead of Ben Nsumba.

Imran Nkurunziza, Malcolm Lubega and Habib Kiggundu will be battling for MX65 lead on Sunday.

The Junior class will have Isabella Blick, Gift Sebuguzi and Alon Orland for the 50cc while William Blick, Miguel Katende and Keza Balinda take on the Pee Wee battle.
