Musa Muliika has heaped praise on his navigator, Mildred Kibuuka after the crew claimed a best career finish during the third round of National Rally Championship last weekend in Mukono.

Muliika paired with Kibuuka for the first time claimed a career best fourth place finish ahead of seasoned drivers in a rally won by Arthur Blick/Unisan Bakunda.

Muliika shared with Kawowo Sports reasons behind his impressive drive.

“My new navigator did a lot to that performance.  She was good. It was our first rally together and she did really well,” he says

“She really encouraged me to push depending on the sections. I am just looking forward to do more rallies with her,” Muliika added.

Muliika posted impressive times during the challenging rally and admits he came within touching distance of winning a stage.

“I made enough preparations before the rally especially on the car. That is why I didn’t suffer mechanical issues like before. There is a stage where Duncan beat me on just one second. I must have had a good drive in that stage.”

Muliika also claimed his first season 50 points, but remains far behind on the NRC standings.
