Kenya Motor Sports Federation (KMSF) has revised calendar dates for the KCB Mobi Bank KNRC 2013 series. In a bulletin to all competitors, the Chairman of Rallies Commission Ashok Bhalla said KCB Voi Rally has been moved to May 11-12. The event was postponed as it coincided with campaigning period of the recently concluded General Election. Ashok has confirmed that the date for KCB Nakuru Rally has been moved to June 8-9. Meanwhile drivers have begun the final phase of their preparations for KCB Nyeri Rally 2013. The rally will be held around Mathira and part of Mount Kenya Forest. Entries for Nyeri opened on Monday March 18at the KMSF offices.  Reconnaissance is planned for Friday April 5-6. Ashok said only 2 passages per crew are allowed to race in one car. Scrutinising and documentation is planned for Saturday April 6at the Green Hills Hotel in Nyeri.

Ashok added that the firstSteward’s meeting is on Saturday April 6 at 11.30am at Green Hills. The rally will be flagged-off from KCB Nyeri branch at 1pm. The rally re-starts on April 7from Green Hills. The Ceremonial Finish is 2pm at the ASK Show Grounds Kabiruini in Nyeri. This rally will be run in compliance with the FIA International Sporting Code, the National Competition Rules of the Kenya Motor Sports Limited and its Additional Supplementary Regulations. All cars with current or expired homologation will not be allowed to enter the Kenya National Rally Championship events without a 33mm restrictor and will have to entre in the Group N Class only.

The national titles for which the rally counts are the KCB KNRC for Drivers and Navigators, the KCB Kenya National Group ‘S’ and SPV Championship for Drivers and Navigators and the KCB Classic Car Cup for Drivers and Co-Drivers. The total distance of the course is 402km. the number of competitive sections will be 10 covering a distance of 188.7km.
