MUKONO – Arthur Blick Jr put up the greatest fight ever in the sprint but could not match the undisputable king of sprints Dunkan Mubiru aka Kikankane in the super special stage of Day 1 of CMC challenge rally at Festino Cite Mukono.

Kikankane posted the fastest time of 6:45min, 4sec ahead of second positioned Blick and Unisan Bakunda in a subaru N10 Pro-drive.

When the two paired in the double circuit, the crowd thought it was a walk in the park for Kikankane and they started complaining that Kikankane would have paired with Ssebuguzi or Desh but at the end of the super special stage, they all had to wait for the official results to determine who took the day.

“As I told you earlier on that we are going to attack that is it and we shall say it is over after tomorrow,” Blick stated.

“The battle has just begun and I can assure you that we are more than ready to open the route tomorrow regardless of all the hazards,” a confident shell Helix sponsored driver stated.

Meanwhile Adam Rauf rolled his Evo 9 in the second run of the super special stage at atime whe was giving roll master wycliff bukenya a run for his money.

Adam took on the experienced Bukenya with all the bravery but miscalculated a corner rolling and dropping out of the rally.

He was the second driver to drop out of the rally on day one with the second being Kasozi who lost control and hit a tree trunk.
