The Iten Classic takes place on 4-5 April 2015. It is a mixture of three different events, this weekend will have something for everyone! This event takes place on Easter weekend with both Friday and Monday being public holidays so we hope you can be there! There are lots of activities for families in the area.

Iten is at the top of the Kerio Valley, which is renowned for its stunning views and dramatic landscape (and of course, high altitude training!) A region of Kenya which is not to missed, the Iten Classic gives you a perfect excuse to travel to the “home of champions”. If you haven’t ridden in Iten you are missing out on some of the best riding in the country!

Event details
The first event on Saturday 4 April will be the Iten Hill Climb covering 38km from the Kerio Valley to the famous Iten barrier. It includes an HC climb of 25km and 1,127m elevation. Minimum age to take part in this event is 15years old.
The second event is on the morning of Sunday 5 April is the Singore Cross Country Challenge : a 30km off-road mountain bike event boasting lots of single-track through a beautiful forest. There will be a shorter version of 10km for children to take part in.
We have a third, fun event in the afternoon of Sunday 5 April, the Iten Pump Track Circuit: a fun event to end the weekend! This event is especially fun for the kids! Adults can take part too!
There will be water stops at each event providing bananas, water, coke, energy drinks and a recovery drink at the end.

Children under the age of 16 are 50% of the entry fee and they are only allowed to enter the MTB event and the BMX event.
