The Iten Classic will be the first of its kind in Kenya. A mixture of three different events, this weekend will have something for everyone! The first event will be the Iten Hill Climb covering 38km from the Kerio Valley to the infamous Iten barrier, this event is not one for the faint-hearted. The second is the Singore Cross Country Challenge : a 40km off-road mountain bike event boasting lots of single-track through a beautiful forest. The third event is the Iten Pump Track Circuit: a fun event to end the weekend! This event is especially fun for the kids! (And adults!)
The Kerio Valley is renowned for its stunning views, and dramatic landscape. And of course, high altitude training! A region of Kenya which is not to missed, the Iten Classic gives you a perfect excuse to travel to the “home of champions”. The Kerio Valley is spectacular, and for cycling enthusiasts (both road and off-road), if you haven’t been to the Iten region, you are missing out on some of the best riding in the country.
