It will be another moment of riveting action when Kenyan charges get down to a battle for glory at of the IAAF World Indoor Championships at the Oregon Convention Centre in Portland, USA.
There are prospects of medal harvests tonight when Kenyans line up in 3,000 men and women races and men’s 1,500m final.
World junior 800m champion Margaret Nyairera, the sole two-lap race Kenyan contender, competed on Friday night in the heats.
World 5,000m silver medalist Caleb Mwangangi will raise the adrenaline levels when he lines up in 3,000m final at 11:10pm (Kenyan time) alongside two-time world indoor champion Augustine Choge and 2013 world 5,000m bronze medalist Isaiah Kiplangát.
They will be up against Ethiopia’s Yenew Alamirew, the national 3,000m record holder, and Africa 5,000m champion Yomif Kejelcha, who has a 7:39.11 season best. Vincent Kibet carried his 3:37.55 best mark to the 1,500m line up at 12:45am this morning.
