Top action is beckoning as a mix of high ranking players and promising youngsters line-up for Duke of Connaught Cup and Lord Cranworth Trophy at Nairobi Club starting this afternoon.

Samsung Galaxy Nairobi team of handicap 4.5 Jammie Murray, Philip Arungah (2.5), Vishal Somaia (2), and Phillou Salle (2) take on Samsung Galaxy Manyatta quartet of Gordi Milla (2.5), Mbu Ngugi (2), Henry Limb (2) and Peter Griffiths (2).

The match that is scheduled for 2.30pm is expected to produce fireworks considering that the two teams features some of the best players around.

Galaxy Nairobi team has total handicap of 11 while the Manyatta side is 8.5.

Other match will see Samsung Galaxy North Kenya team of Gordi Milla (1.5), Tiva Gross (1.5), Llewelly Dyer (0.5) and Aisha Gross tackle Peroni’s quartet of Martin Waiganja (2), Phillippa Marriam (0.5), Edward Burbidge (0) and Ruth Horsey (0) at 3.30pm.

More matches are lined up at the same venue tomorrow and Sunday.

Other teams that have entered the tournament are Samsung Galaxy Manyatta and Samsung Galaxy Nairobi that will be competing in Division B Lord Cranworth Trophy.

The Manyatta team is made up of Sarah Griffith (1), Rishi Ahluwalia (0.5), Chris Foot (0.5) and Nikki Barlow (0.5).
Samsung Galaxy Nairobi team that is drawn in Lord Cranworth Trophy is made up of Mike du Toit who plays off handicap one, Devin Shretta (0.5), Dom Grammaticas (0.5) and Jonathan Stichbury (0.5).

The tournament will also feature C Division Red Bull category that features upcoming players who turn out dor various teams.

Teams to compete here are Pepsi, Samsung Galaxy, Mountain Dew and Miller.

With such high profile tournament in place, polo fans should brace themselves for class displays as man and horse perform what they know best.
