Kenya’s First Lady Margaret Kenyatta took her training to the Safaricom Stadium as she prepares for the March 6, Half Marathon at Nyayo Stadium.
Accompanied by members of her training team and the local media, the First Lady undertook a 6.5 km “solidarity run” both inside the Kasarani Sports Complex arena and its peripherals.
After the training session, the First Lady fielded questions from the media where she assured Kenyans that the Beyond Zero initiative will continue delivering many more mobile clinics to more deserving areas of Kenya even when all the 47 counties finally receive the facilities as planned.
The First Lady said that while her schedule has not allowed her to train as hard as in previous years, she however assured her supporters and sponsors that she will be at Nyayo Stadium on March 6 to both flag off the Marathon and run with those registered for the race.
Registration continues at various locations including all Nakumatt, Uchumi, and Tuskys Supermarkets and Nairobi Sports House at cost of KSh1,500 for individual participants.
Other registration points include Shell, National Oil and Total Petrol Stations. Other registration platforms include the Beyond Zero App on Android phones and the www.beyondzero.or.ke
