The FMU Vice President, Dusman Okee shared with Kawowo Sports about Todt’s visit.
Yes its true the president will visit the country in August, and a lot is expected to be discussed on issues pertaining the sport with all other delegates.
Okee circled out the aspect of closed routes as part of the agenda to be put forward to Todt.
We have an issue of closed routes that comes with big costs since most nearer places are occupied. So we expect the president to address the matter.
Todt’s visit will also coincide with the Africa Rally Championship Pearl of Africa Rally scheduled for August 28th-30th.
Okee stressed the benefits of Todt’s visit in relations to the Pearl rally.
The whole world will be focusing on Uganda, since we have been considered the big power when it comes to the biggest fan base in Africa. We shall make sure all the delegates attend the super special stage, and this will give us a mileage as the country.
Always big fans base comes with safety loopholes, we shall request more help in applying safety measures
Todt is also expected to visit Kenya. Getting the Safari Rally back on the World Rally Championship will be top on his visit.
