Ethiopian Regassa wins Eindhoven Marathon as Kenya’s Maiyo and Lagat finish second and third respect

Regassa won Sunday’s Eindhoven Marathon in 2 hr 06 min 20 sec ahead of
Kenyans Jonathan Maiyo (2:06:47) and Alfers Lagat (2:07:11).

An exhausted Regassa was left disappointed with what he dubbed a “poor
performance”, his winning time almost one minute slower than his
personal best set in Chicago in 2012.

The Ethiopian, who said he was suffering cramp and knee problems, was
helped away in a wheelchair after finishing.
