Having dropped out in the season opener in Mbarara, Eddie Mukiibi did not rest as he was planning on how to keep himself in the title chase.
The Big Mikes sponsored driver added life to the 2WD class when he featured with a Toyota Vitz but results are yet not come his way.
Mukiibi seems to have carried forward his misfortunes from last year into the 2015 season.
Engine failure in the opening round in Mbarara this year meant he would not score points in the 2WD category.
He is however determined to get that monkey off his back at the Source of Nile Rally this weekend in Jinja
I dropped out of Mbarara rally due to engine failure but now I have replaced it. The only strategy is to collect points and chase for the championship
With Leilah Blick, Ismail Otega and Ismail Waliggo, all chasing for the same victory, Mukiibi’s other hope is to push the ‘flying penguin’ Vitz to last day’s finish.
I am now more focused on finishing the rally. Its quiet a long one but reaching the final fly finish of the 380km rally will be great this time
The Source the Nile rally revs off this weekend 3-4th April at the Agricultural show ground in Jinja.
