Kampala. Dolphins Swim Club have started preparations to defend their title at the Kenya National Championships scheduled for May 15-17 in Nairobi.

Swimmers completed trials on Sunday at Gems Cambridge International School to select a team that will represent the club in Nairobi.
Coach Tony Kasujja is confident a team of at least 60 swimmers will guide the club to their fifth crown in nine visits to Nairobi after winning the title in the 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions.

“After winning it three times on the bounce, every team all over East Africa is going to come prepared to beat us,” Kasujja told Daily Monitor.
“But we are preparing well. After the trials we shall be working a lot more with the swimmers that have made the required times,” he added.
Dolphins also received a timely sponsorship boost worth Shs8.5m from Hariss International Ltd, the manufacturers of Riham products who have sponsored the club since 2013.
