The Uganda Athletics technical Committee on Wednesday evening named the final national cross country team preparing for the World Cross Country championships slated to take place in China next month
The team was picked from the national cross country championships that took place last Saturday at the Jinja Golf Course.
According to a statement from the Athletics Federation released by the PRO, Namayo Mawerere, the team will camp in Kasese starting next week before departure for China.
The junior women and Men and senior women had the best four at the national cross country championships that were held in Jinja and the senior men had the top five performers. All teams had one athlete, among those who were competing from outside the country that were added on them. The team is expected to camp in Kasese starting next week

Junior winners Stella Chesang and Joshua Cheptegei are joined by the senior compatriots, Phillip Kipyeko and Juliet Chekwel, who won their respective female categories.
