Mukono district will this weekend see off drivers meet yet again in the title chase in the CMC rally.
Over 30 crews have confirmed participation of the event that kicks off on saturday 9th May at the Festino city, Mukono.
This rally event is yet to prove to be the most competitive, as most drivers revamped their strategies to appear back in the title contention after the misfortunes of Jinja rally.
Arthur Blick Jnr, who is on the summit of the NRC standings with 160points will be out to maintain his place at the top.
Sweeping the road for the first time, Blick shared with Kawowo about the new task awaits him.
“Am so ready for task, yes i know what am going into is not easy but am not afraid, we just need to be a little more cautious of our moves, but am ready to shoot,” says Blick.
Duncan Mubiru trailing in the second position on 100points, will chase for his second straight win of the season after Mbarara win.
The event will as well see top drivers debut new cars.
The defending NRC Champion Ronald Sebuguzi will unveil his new EVOX that holds his hope of the win.
Andrew Desh Kananura, will as well switch to a Subaru TMR12 R4 following his hardluck in the N16 in the past two events.
“Am not worried at all, i trust my car 100 percent, with their new cars i believe i can beat them,” says blick.
The event will start off on a double circuit super special stage at Festino city, before crews hit parts of Mukono including Mpoma, Nandagi, Bulijjo, Kayunga and Nakapinyi.
It will partly run on a closed routes for the first time, covering a total distance of 180.50km.
