Recently crowned Olympics women’s 1,500m champion Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon is expected to be feted tomorrow at her Ndabibit home in Kuresoi South constituency in Nakuru County.
Chepng’etich was expected to run in Zurich Diamond League last night and was favourite to win the trophy. A family member confirmed preparations for her homecoming had been finalised and it was all systems go.
Chepng’etich beat Ethiopia’s Genzebe Dibaba to second place to win the country’s second gold medal at the Olympic stage. Local leaders from county and national government are expected to grace the occasion.
