On April 23, 2016, the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), and NGO partners — WildlifeDirect, Save the Elephants, African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), and the Amboseli Trust for Elephants — will host an online global conversation to help save elephants and rhinos.  Using Twitter, Facebook, and a livestream feed, this event will be a discussion about why elephants and rhinos matter, our progress in the fight to save them, and how we can ensure a better future for them.  At the event, we will call on participants to make commitments to help save these iconic species.  The event will be a prelude to the Giants Club Summit onApril 29 – 30 and Kenya’s historic ivory and rhino horn burn on April 30.

We invite you to join us for this event, either in person or virtually.  In the days leading up to the event, you can find us tweeting with the hashtags #LightAFire, #WorthMoreAlive, and #Tweet4Elephants.  We ask you to help get the conversation going and be actively engaged on the day of the event.

Together, we can make a difference for elephants and rhinos.

Kind Regards

Paula
