More than 20 drivers have confirmed participation in the FMU Premier Sprint championship set for this Sunday at the Busiika Arena.

Crews will for the first time this year take on a double circuit track that covers 9.8km.

Tight competition is anticipated in all classes as crews target Sprint Championship points in all classes.

Alfred Mutanda, the event Clerk of Course says the race will provide a much different spectacle for both competitors and fans.

Usually sprints are taken as a weekend out to have a bit of fun, and thats what exactly is going to be, on a double circuit as crews battle it out.

He further assured the Motorsport fraternity of better safety on Sunday.
My safety team and I have done everything possible to make the event a success for both the fans and competitors.

Speaking at the launch, local motorsport federation President Jack Wavamuno appreciated sponsors services to the sport.

I want to thank the companies that have come on board to check safety during the event. We all know we shall have a chopper on stand by incase of anything as well as ICEA will be there to cover for injuries if any.

More drivers are yet to confirm participation before Sunday’s race.
