British High Commissioner to Kenya, Dr.Christian Turner and Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore are among the participants for the 8th edition of Henry Wanyoike Hope for the Future Run set for tomorrow in Kikuyu, Kiambu County.
The run, whose theme is ‘Disability & Insecurity- Promoting Nyumba Kumi initiative’, is the second under the 2014 Safaricom Athletics series and is expected to attract over 15,000 participants—up from 12,000 last year.
The year’s event will feature five categories this—seniors 7.5km (men and women), veterans 3km , juniors 7.5km, wheelchairs 7.5km and children 6-12 years (2km). Safaricom has sponsored the run to a tune of Sh1.5m.
