JAIDEEP Singh Vohra, one of the leading and respected hoteliers in the country, is the new chairman of the Kenya Motor Sports Federation. His appointment was unanimously endorsed during the motorsport governing body’s Annual General Meeting attending by stakeholders from the 11 motorports clubs across the nation.
The stakeholders are members of the KMSF board of directors by virtue of being the heads of the respective clubs. Roy Mackenzie, who held the position for nearly 16 months since he was appointed in February last year, opted to retire. However, he still remains as one of the 11 directors of the federation by virtue of his position as the chairman of the Mombasa Motorsport Club.
Vohra, who is no stranger to motorsports in Kenya, said he is prepared to make sure the sport remains professional and attractive in the eyes of the sponsors, competitors and fans.
